01. Who is this course for?
Our watercolour mixed level courses are designed for learners wishing to gain an understanding of the basics of watercolour painting and are suitable for beginners & improvers. We will develop your skills in the techniques of watercolour and an understanding of colour mixing, drawing skills, and composition. The course builds up step by step to help your understanding & for you to gain confidence in each area before moving onto the next. For more experienced learners we aim to develop skills, techniques and applications already learnt so that learners are confident to paint a range of subjects and develop their own style. The course tutor will be on hand at every stage to provide support with one to one tuition, demonstrations, & handouts.

For beginners: · Basic techniques of watercolour painting · Colour mixing & composition· Drawing skills to develop pictures · Rendering different subject matter in watercolours For Improvers: · Further understanding of fine elements of art such as composition, colour theory, tonal work and texture · How to be more creative in response to given subject matter · Further development of drawing skills · Further development of learners individual style/working methods

A set of watercolours, brushes, pencils & paper It is not necessary to spend a lot of money of equipment and a full list will be provided at the first session
