01. Who is this course for?
This is a friendly, relaxed, and informative weekly course where I will share with you my enthusiasm for baking. This course is for anyone interested in learning how to cook meals that are based on recipes from around the world. You will also have the opportunity to choose what you would like to make, and personalise recipes to suit your tastes.

02. What will I learn?
You will learn basic and intermediate cooking and baking techniques. You will use your creativity to make dishes from a variety of countries and learn a bit about the history behind the creation of the week. You will learn basic culinary vocabulary, alongside cooking and baking skills to become more confident in your own ability, in a fun and friendly environment.

03. How will I learn?
This a tutor-led cookery course for all abilities. Your progress and achievements will be recognised and recorded throughout the course using a variety of methods such as observation and feedback from the tutor; discussions; a combination of demonstrations and presentations to guide you through the course content. Your tutor will provide you regular feedback on your progress using an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). The ILP sets out both your personal learning aims and the overall learning objectives of your course and allows you, and your tutor, to evaluate your progress and set learning goals. Photographic evidence of your dish and with the knowledge and understanding learnt you can cook them again at home.

04. What will I need to bring?
To participate in this course, learners will need to provide their own ingredients. These ingredients will need to be weighed prior to starting the session, this will support your own learning. Learners will be notified of ingredients required before each weekly session, an ingredient list will be sent to you prior to the course start. Please also bring in your own apron, cleaning equipment such as tea towels, dish cloth and scouring pads, you may be required to bring certain equipment from home, your tutor will let you know what and when. You will also need something to take home your creations you have made

05. What skills or experience do I need?
None required, just enthusiasm and willing to have a go. This course is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those wishing to develop their cooking skills.

06. How will I be assessed?
The Learning for Wellbeing curriculum uses formative and summative assessment methods to evaluate learner progress. You will work towards completing learning targets set in class, as well as your own personal development targets. Targets are reviewed at the middle and end of the course. Informal discussions and critiques with the tutor and learners will take place throughout the course, both individually and in groups.

07. What could I do after this course?
