01. Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who would like to learn how to design and create a scrapbook as a way of storing and preserving your precious mementos such as photographs, pamphlets, tickets, and notes.

02. What will I learn?
You will learn how to use paper crafting techniques, embellishments and annotations to start creating effective page layouts using your own mementos.

03. How will I learn?
This workshop combines tutor-led and independent activities. You will be supported through class demonstrations and 1:1 assistance as you create your scrapbook. Learners will receive regular verbal feedback on their progress.

04. What will I need to bring?
You will need to bring in any items, such as photos, cinema tickets, leaflets, notes etc and any embellishments that you wish to include in your scrapbook. If you have a blank scrapbook that you would like to use, please bring this with you. We will have blank scrapbooks available to use and take home if you do not have one. Decorative items will be provided, but feel free to bring any craft supplies that you would like to use. You should also bring a drink and a packed lunch (alternative, there are shops nearby if you would like to leave to purchase lunch off-site).

05. What skills or experience do I need?
No experience necessary. This course is suitable for complete beginners.

06. How will I be assessed?
The Learning for Wellbeing curriculum uses formative and summative assessment methods to evaluate learner progress. You will work towards completing a set of class learning targets, as well as your own personal development targets. Targets are reviewed at the middle and end of the course. Informal discussions with the tutor will take place throughout the course, both individually and in groups. Your progress may also be documented through photographic evidence.

07. What could I do after this course?
The Learning for Wellbeing curriculum offers a wide range of art, craft, cookery, dance and creative arts courses for you to continue developing skills specifically aimed at improving your wellbeing. Courses are available to search on the GoLearn website.
