01. Who is this course for?
The course will introduce the stars and planets visible in the Autumn Night Sky.    When the weather permits, the classroom sessions will be backed up by practical viewing, including the use of binoculars and telescopes.   Astronomy and space stories in the news will be discussed. You will meet people with a shared interest and make new friends.   There may be the opportunity to visit places of astronomical interest outside of the sessions if you wish.

You will learn how to find you way around the sky and gain some understanding of our place in the Universe

Self assessment and reviews Feedback from tutor Project work. Individual Learning Plan (ILP)

04. What will I need to bring?
Pen/pencil, paper and folder to store handouts If clear, bring along some warm clothes as we will go outside and view the sky.

05. What skills or experience do I need?
The course is open to people with all levels of interest and experience, but no prior knowledge is assumed – the only requirement is lots of enthusiasm!   On clear evenings we will go outside and look at the stars and planets
