01. Who is this course for?
This course will provide a useful introduction to a variety of painting and drawing techniques and materials to get you started on your learning journey. You will be able to develop your skills and gain the knowledge and confidence needed to create your own work. You will get lots of support and encouragement along with the opportunity to explore and experiment with a variety of wet and dry media such as watercolour, acrylic, charcoal and pastels.

02. What will I learn?
· A guide to materials · Developing drawing & painting techniques · Basic colour mixing · Developing observational skills · Design & composition · Working from your own photos The course will include step-by-step drawing and painting projects and activities with demonstrations by the tutor to show different techniques and applications.

03. How will I learn?
Written & photographic records Regular feed back from the tutor on your progress throughout the course Group discussions We will help you to record and review your own progress during the course

04. What will I need to bring?
Any Pencils, an eraser, paints, brushes, and a sketch pad or other paper that you already have to draw on. There will be some spare materials available to borrow for the first session if needed.
