01. Who is this course for?
This qualification covers the skills needed to use Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations and Databases at an advanced level, with these skills then being applied to realistic scenarios within the final module, Improving Productivity Using IT. This Level 3 Certificate is suitable for individuals who have recently successfully completed a Level 2 Digital Skills qualification or have demonstrable equivalent knowledge/experience. All learners will be required to complete an initial assessment and attend a face-to-face interview prior to enrolment on the course. Please note this course starts January 2024 and ends March 2025

02. What will I learn?
This course covers a range of digital skills at an advanced level using the popular Microsoft Office suite – Word Processing, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and Access databases. Word - produce complex documents, enhance outputs and improve productivity using Microsoft Word. Spreadsheet Software - produce sophisticated reports, perform complex mathematical and statistical calculations and improve productivity using Microsoft Excel. Presentation Software - plan and design presentations, produce advanced presentation outputs using Microsoft PowerPoint. Database Software - plan, create and modify relational database tables. Use a database to manage and organise information using Access databases. Improving Productivity using IT – apply the knowledge and skills gained through the previous modules, to develop solutions that make a demonstrable improvement to the use of IT tools and systems. This is an accredited course and learners will complete 5 online exams to achieve a Level 3 Certificate in IT User Skills (ICDL Advanced) (ITQ)

05. What skills or experience do I need?
You should have completed a recent Level 2 Digital Skills qualification or have equivalent demonstrable knowledge. This is an advanced Digital Skills qualification, the equivalent of an A-level. Therefore, you must be able to work independently and on your own initiative. Some of the course content will be completed away from the classroom and it is expected that you will do this independently in the form of tutor-directed home study. Good attendance is required throughout to achieve this Level 3 qualification.
