01. Who is this course for?
This is a short course to help inform and prepare you for a FULL GCSE maths course. It runs between 3 to 4 weeks depending on the time in the academic year. You will learn what topics are in the GCSE course; experience a taste of a few of these; learn when and how the exams are set; the levels within the GCSE and expectations from both you and us. You will be better informed and prepared to move forward with your GCSE study or look at alternative courses.

03. How will I learn?
You will be asked to complete GCSE questionnaire at the end of the short course to assess your skills are developed enough to build on and give you the best opportunity for success.

04. What will I need to bring?
You will need: a calculator; a PC, laptop or tablet for independent work and joining the distant learning courses. Also, a pen and paper.

05. What skills or experience do I need?
Ideally you will have a recent maths qualification below GCSE level (for example functional skills) OR you will have had a D grade from leaving school/college. However, this is not essential if you have some good maths skills to build on.
