01. Who is this course for?
This course will introduce you to the key elements and concepts behind screenwriting. We will look at the common vocabulary used in the film industry, how to format your script. As well as exploring the characteristics of a captivating story and how to develop a storyline with a dynamic cast of characters within the Three Act Structure. As well as considering the power of dialogue and character.

02. What will I learn?
This course explores the foundations and principles involved within the screenwriting process in a series of workshops to help develop an individual’s screenwriting skills. Screenwriting is the starting point for theatre and radio plays, television dramas and movies.

03. How will I learn?
Regular feedback and support will be provided from your tutor and peers during the workshops. Group discussions take place in an informal and supportive environment. Your tutor will give you guidance regarding your progress and how to develop your writing practice during the course, in the form of group discussions and Individual Learning Plans.

04. What will I need to bring?
Notebook and Pen

05. What skills or experience do I need?
No prior experience is required, however an interest in developing stories within the medium of screenwriting is beneficial.
