01. Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for learners who have either completed a Level 1 Part 1 course in your chosen language or who can already get by in everyday holiday or business settings, and have started to use the simplest ways of expressing present, past and future tenses. It will build on the topics covered in the previous course such as personal information, daily routine, shopping, travelling, future plans and past holidays. Using a variety of learning materials including DVDs, CDs, practical activities, games, books and the internet, the main emphasis will be on developing your range of vocabulary to help you hold short conversations including talking about things in the past (e. g. what you did at the weekend) and the future (e. g. holiday plans).

02. What will I learn?
To enable learners to use and understand longer sentences in a range of everyday situations in order to be able to hold short dialogues/conversations e. g. to reserve a table in a restaurant by phone, to make a complaint in a restaurant/shop, to talk about your last holidays, to discuss future planes, etc. To be able to talk about things in the past, present and future using different tenses as appropriate to the language e. g. describe holiday plans/say what you did at the weekend, etc. To build your confidence when using the language, and to further develop skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in order to express meaning clearly.

03. How will I learn?
Regular dialogue with your tutor. Class activities including group and paired work, role play, interactive activities and language games. Spoken and/or written exercises with feedback from your tutor. Monitoring of progress against learning aims to be agreed with your tutor

04. What will I need to bring?
A4 folder to store handouts, notes, vocabulary and worksheets. A dictionary could be useful but is not essential – please talk to your tutor.

05. What skills or experience do I need?
You should have completed a Level 1 Part 1 course in your chosen language or have equivalent knowledge by another means e. g. school studies, frequent visits, relatives, work, etc. Please refer to description of different language levels in the course bro

06. How will I be assessed?
This course will be accredited by ABC Language Awards, through general classroom activities and tasks.

08. How will I be supported in my learning?
